Other than water sports, snorkeling, diving and simply staying at the beach, Puerto Galera is also home to other fun and exciting activities such as mud karting.
I’ve been to Puerto Galera numerous times since it is one of the closest tourist attractions near my home town. In all of my stays there, I never miss snorkeling in their vast coral garden. The beautiful corals and the numerous schools of fishes are always a treat no matter the season. It just never gets old for me.
However, in my last two trips there, I tried a different activity. I first heard about mud sports in Puerto Galera a year ago. It looked like a fun activity especially during the rainy season when beach bumming is not as enjoyable as it is during summer. I finally got to try it and it was fun on a different level.
The mud karting activity in Puerto Galera is provided by X-Treme Sports Philippines. They are located in Sto. Niño, Puerto Galera, just a few minutes away from Muelle Port. They also provide free shuttle from your hotel and back.
Php500 lets you ride the off-road buggy for 6 laps around the track. That is approximately 8-10 minutes. The track is one of the things that make it really exciting as there are several puddles of muddy water, slopes, sharp turns, and foliage throughout the track. For me, the best way to enjoy it is to really go wild and step on the gas to spray mud and dirty water all over. Just a tip: bring shades or goggles because the mud water could get to your eyes. To make things more fun, you can have your buddy as a passenger for an additional Php100.
Aside from the mud kart, you can also ride an ATV on the same track. They also have go karts. In addition to these highly exciting activities, they also provide other fun stuff for you and your friends to do such as paintball, crossbow and air gun shooting, and tag archery.
